RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.

The Emirates Literature Festival 2019
Yvette will talk to us about the guests who will be gracing the platform at this year’s Emirates Festival of Literature and tell us about this year’s competition entries. This is not to be missed if you are a book lover.
Announcements
Jeannette will be visiting the Al Ihsan distribution centre in Ajman this week to take your gifts of toiletries, packaged cakes and sweets. She has sorted and bagged all your donations. If any of you would like to join Jeannette on the trip please speak to her at the front desk at the RL social morning on Tuesday or email her on ranches.ladies@gmail.com.
If you haven’t donated yet please bring your unused toiletries (hotel and airline freebies are ideal), packaged cakes and biscuits and packets of sweets for the children on Tuesday.

This Week
The Poetry Circle will take place in Savannah on Arabian Ranches 1 on 28th January at 2.30pm and the topic this month is “Family”. Come along and share your favourite poems.
The Newcomers Social Morning is being held on 31st January at Shakespeare’s Cafe upstairs at AR1 community centre. Come and meet Helen and be introduced to other new and not so new members. Old and new members are all very welcome.
Coming Up Soon
The Book Circle is reading Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate for the meeting on 17th February.
The Literary Lunch Circle will meet on Monday, 18th February. The book is “In Order to Live – A North Korean Girl’s Journey” by Leonmi Park and will generate a lot of discussion.
The next Ladies Lunch is planned for Sunday 10th February from 12.30pm when we will enjoy a traditional Arabic mezze at Al Arrab Lebanese restaurant in Arabian Ranches 1 retail centre. Please register on the circles email if you would like more details.
New Circles
We are proposing to start an Arabic Conversation Circle in February, possibly Tuesday afternoon in the Arabian Ranches 1 centre. Please let us know whether this is a good time for you on our circles email above.
Upcoming Trips
27th January: Dubai Frame and Zaa’beel Park
We will meet today, 27th January, in the Arabian Ranches Golf Club car park at 9am to lift share to the Frame, one of Dubai’s remarkable new attractions. Visitors can take a lift to the viewing area at the top of the Frame with stunning views over Dubai.
There will be a 50 dhs entrance fee, but over 60s are free!!!
