RL will hold our Zoom coffee mornings every 2 weeks from 9 June at 10am.  We would love you to join us to catch up with your news.  You will need to download the app, if you don’t already have it, and email Jackie on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com to let her know you would like to join our Zoom coffee morning

Jackie will then send you an email invitation which you can use to join the Zoom meeting.  Just click on the link in the email you receive at 10am on Tuesday 9 June

Sad News

We have had very sad news from our dear RL member, Anne Archibald.  Her beloved husband Hugh has passed away in hospital and is going to be hugely missed by Anne, all his friends and his colleagues.  Anne and Hugh enjoyed 40 years of happiness and travelled the world together.

Keep in Touch

Mandy has sent this beautiful picture of East Preston beach in West Sussex during the glorious weather in UK last week.  There are still many RL members in UK waiting to return home. We are looking forward to seeing you all back soon.

Please continue to email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com with all your pictures, suggestions and activities.  There has been a complete re-opening of malls and businesses in Dubai so we are now able to move around with more freedom. However, social distancing is still in force and we hope all RL members will to continue to keep themselves safe.

RL Circles News

We are keeping a watchful eye on events and will let you know if circles can resume in September.  Please look at our weekly circles calendar on the website http://www.arabianranchesladies.com and our home page for updates

We now have a few regular weekly circles which are held on online. On Mondays and Thursdays at 2pm Mariana is live streaming her Yoga classes and on Wednesdays at 2-3pm Optimal Fitness is holding Pilates sessions.  Online Zumba is every Thursday at 9.30am with Sarah.  The French Circle meet every Sunday at 10am on Zoom

Art Circle

Elizabeth our circle leader has sent a message of thanks to the members of the art circle who have shared their art work throughout the lockdown and given us all something to enjoy.  Elizabeth is hoping to return to UK soon.  This is a painting of Rita’s grandson

Quilting

Sara has completed this traditional Card Trick quilt and has even had a go at “stitch in the ditch” quilting.  Quilters have thoroughly enjoyed being able to quilt uninterrupted for 3 months!

Anne and Jeannette have been spending a lot of time crocheting these mask mates.  This was an enjoyable pastime for Anne while she has been at the hospital with Hugh and is hugely appreciated by hospital staff

Literary Lunch

The next Literary Lunch will be Monday 22nd June and Karen will send out a Zoom link nearer the time.  Next month’s book moves us away from fiction and is a true life story Lady in Waiting by Anne Glenconner

Book Circle
