Ranches Ladies Newsletter
The summer holiday period is approaching but unlike other years most UAE residents will be staying put in the region until they can be sure they can return safely if they leave for a trip. Ranches Ladies has a number of online circles still meeting and members will be continuing to paint, sew, make mosaics and enjoy all their crafts.
Please continue to email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com with all your pictures, suggestions and activities. There has been a complete re-opening of malls and businesses in Dubai so we are now able to move around with more freedom. However, social distancing is still in force and we hope all RL members will to continue to keep themselves safe
Treasurer Needed
This is an urgent appeal for someone to assume the role of RL treasurer. Very sadly our current treasurer, Anne, is leaving UAE to return to Scotland and we need to find a replacement. RL has an accountant to draw up the RL accounts but we need someone to handle petty cash, oversee our banking and keep the chequebook. It is not an onerous role, RL is a non profit making organisation, and would suit someone with experience of handling the accounts of small voluntary clubs like a PTA or scout troops. Experience is not essential!

Tuesday Morning Social

RL will hold our Zoom coffee mornings every 2 weeks and the next will be on 23 June at 10am. We would love you to join us to catch up with your news. You will need to download the app, if you don’t already have it, and email Jackie on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com to let her know you would like to join our Zoom coffee morning
Jackie will then send you an email invitation which you can use to join the Zoom meeting. Just click on the link in the email you receive at 10am on Tuesday 23 June

RL Circles News
You can view the June Circles Calendar on the website: This Month’s Circles Calendar on the website http://www.arabianranchesladies.com and our home page for updates. We are keeping a watchful eye on events and will let you know if circles can resume in September/October.
We now have a few regular weekly circles which are held on online. On Mondays and Thursdays at 2pm Mariana is live streaming her Yoga classes and on Wednesdays at 2-3pm Optimal Fitness is holding Pilates sessions. Online Zumba is every Thursday at 9.30am with Sarah. The French Circle meets every Sunday at 10am on Zoom

Jo, the mosaic circle leader, has been mainly doing pottery in lockdown but has started this mosaic too
Literary Lunch
The next Literary Lunch will be Monday 22nd June and Karen will send out a Zoom link nearer the time. Next month’s book moves us away from fiction and is a true life story Lady in Waiting by Anne Glenconner
