Still Going Strong
Ranches Ladies was front page news back in 2010. It is wonderful that Carole has kept our organisation flourishing for over 14 years and that we are still here as strong as ever in 2020. A few faces may have changed but Carole is still an active member offering her support and advice to the Committee and our president, Hayet, and running her ever popular Scottish Dancing and Poetry Circles.
What a marvellous thing to see, thanks to Clementina for spotting it

The Gardening Circle
Pest Control Tips from the Gardening Circle
If you have a problem with leaf rust on your plants – especially ficus and frangipani, Susan has had great success treating hers with NeemGuard which is available from Amazon and also the Dubai Garden Centre. Be sure to follow the instructions on the bottle.
Look out for mealy bugs attacking your hibiscus and frangipani plants at this time of year especially on the new leaves and flower buds. These can be sprayed with a mixture of 2 tsp of washing up liquid in 4 lts of water in the late afternoon
