RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.

Women’s Health Connector
Victoria is co-founder of the Women’s Health Connector, an online, collaborative platform dedicated to education, information and peer sharing of women’s health topics for an underserved market segment, namely women in the 35-65+ age group. We have a small but growing medical advisory board and a flourishing, free membership.
Tuesday’s talk will highlight the origin and initiatives underway by the group and how each of us can participate. In addition, we will discuss how to advocate for your own health and a short introduction to the “Happiness Curve”, or why life gets better after 50.

Amend your diary! The date of the Bazaar has changed to 19 November. Our annual Winter Bazaar marks the start of the Festive Season. Lots of stalls to find seasonal gifts, yuletide music and tasty nibbles will put you in the mood for the party season.

RL was privileged to hear Beth Beggs, RL President, talk so candidly about her breast cancer. Beth’s superb talk covered her discovery of her lump through to her treatment and a general discussion of cancer treatment in the UAE and breast cancer generally.

L’Atelier Salon in Motor City hosted us for 2 sessions and 30 ladies had their hair done and enjoyed all the treatments on offer. The delicious refreshments and the goodie bags just made this a perfect day. We will enjoy using our 100 dhs vouchers.
Thank you to all the staff at L’Atelier who made us so welcome and thoroughly spoiled us.

Membership
It costs 55Dhs for RL members and 65dhs for guests to attend the Tuesday Social Mornings. Please bring the exact money in a labelled envelope, if you can, which will really help us.
RL Requests
RL is run entirely by volunteers and we rely on your kindness to give a few hours of your time each week to assist the Committee and keep Ranches Ladies running. We are currently looking for deputies to act as assistants to Jackie (Circles Coordinator), Anne (our treasurer) and to update the website with Sara (Webteam).
The easiest way you can help is to volunteer as one of our Meet and Greet ladies if you have a little time once a month. You will be asked to help out at roughly one Tuesday Social Morning a month and your role will be to show new members around, explain about the Circles, find them a seat with a group and make sure they have coffee and someone to talk to.
