RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.
8 October 2019: Big Circles Morning
The RL Big Circles Morning is on Tuesday from 9.30am!
All our circles are on display and you will be able to talk to the Circles’ leaders about what they offer and you can sign up there and then.
Our craft circles include silk painting, mosaics, quilting, jewellery making and water colour painting. We have 2 book circles and 4 foreign language circles along with fitness groups for Yoga, Pilates, Scottish Dancing and Walking. You can visit the cinema with a group of friends, recite poetry or play mahjong, Shanghai rummy and bridge.
And if you don’t see a circle that caters for your interest, make a suggestion to Jackie or offer to lead one yourself.
Come along on Tuesday and choose which circles you would like to join.

Spirals Beauty Salon
What a wonderful morning! Thank you very much to the Spirals Beauty Salon team who transformed our Ranches Ladies on Tuesday 1st with their quick and easy hairstyles. It was inspiring and everyone has been encouraged to try the new styles for themselves.

RL is run by volunteers and we rely entirely on your kindness to give a few hours of your time each week to assist the Committee and keep Ranches Ladies running. The easiest way you can help is to volunteer as one of our Meet and Greet ladies if you have a little time once a month. You will be asked to help out at roughly one Tuesday Social Morning a month and your role will be to show new members around, explain about the Circles, find them a seat with a group and make sure they have coffee and someone to talk to.

This Month’s Circles
The Sunday Mahjong Circle led by Supriya will take place tomorrow Tuesday 8th October, after the Big Circles Morning, at Shakespeare’s Cafe in AR1 community centre. Please email Supriya on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to come along. Lessons will be given to new players.
The Literary Lunch Circle will meet on Monday 21st October to enjoy a pot luck lunch and to discuss the book The Kitchen Canary by Joanne C Parsons. It is a short book so you may be interested to read the sequel too, The Open Door.
The Book Circle is meeting on Sunday 20th October to talk about Celestial Bodies by Jokha Alharthi. Please let Jackie know if you are coming along.
The Leather Jewellery Circle has started again, please sign up on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com to come along.
The Mosaic Circle meets every 2 weeks. This is a lovely craft and all the equipment and materials are supplied.
The Walking Fitness Circle will now meet on a Monday morning from 7am for a 5 km walk around the Ranches followed by coffee at Costa. Email Alex on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to come along.
The Gardening Circle is meeting on 24 October to visit the Trump Golf Course for a talk on keeping grass green in the UAE heat! Not to be missed tips for keen gardeners.
The Cinema Circle meets every Monday, if there is a good film to see, so join the circle and get to see the best movies followed by coffee and cake. What could be better?
The Art Circles will start again in November with Elizabeth so please email on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to join the Monday afternoon or Thursday morning classes from November.
