RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Birdie’s Bar, Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.
January 15th 2018 Talk: Elizma Hoffman of YOUnique Beauty
The word Fascia is new to the beauty and health industry but not new to our bodies. At school we learned about the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments and connective tissue. But we were never taught about fascia. Elizma is trained in massage and beauty and will tell us about this new physiological concept at the RL Social Morning.
From 9.30am Elizma will be offering free 5 minute neck and shoulder massages before her talk.

Access to Birdies Bar at Arabian Ranches Golf Club is behind the Golf Club. Walk through the foyer and a buggy will take you across the golf course to Birdie’s, if needed, or it is only a short walk from The Golf Club.
Al Ihsan
After our visit to Ajman in November last year it was clear that there are many ways we can help and your donations are vital. We are now collecting unopened toiletries (hotel freebies are ideal), packaged cakes and biscuits, and sweets and goodies for the children. In the future we will ask for dried, canned and packaged goods. Your small acts of generosity make a very big difference. Please bring everything along to one of the Tuesday social mornings to be collected by Jeannette. Thank you.
Ladies Lunch 20th January
On the 20th January Maha from My Kitchen Secrets will host a ladies lunch at her home in Al Barari from 12pm. For 150dhs you will be treated to a delicious meal of authentic home cooked dishes from Syria prepared by Maha who, you will remember, did a fabulous demonstration at our Tuesday Social Morning in September last year.

We are proposing to start an Arabic Conversation Circle in February, date and time yet to be confirmed. Please sign up on our email above so we can gauge interest.
Next Week
The Singing Circle led by Gayle is restarting this Wednesday, 16th January, in the Loft. It is said that while singing alone is good, singing with others is better, so come and exercise your voice and body and reap the benefits.
The Handicrafts Circle will take place on Sunday 20th January where you can make some items to be proud of. Please remember to book your place in advance on our circles email.
The Arts and Crafts Circle, by the Palette Company, is cancelled for January and will restart next month.
The Rest of January
The Poetry Circle will take place in Savannah on Arabian Ranches 1 on 28th January at 2.30pm and the topic this month is “Family”. Let poetry light up your life! Join like minded people, relax and share your favourite poems.
Don’t forget you have 2 books to read this month for the Literary Lunch and Book circles. The Wild by Cheryl Strayed and The Muse by Jessie Burton.
The Gardening Circle will next meet on 24th January at 10am to visit the Gover Horticulture nursery in Al Warsan and learn about Green Walls/Vertical Gardens.
Newcomers Social Morning is being held on 31st January at Shakespeare’s Cafe upstairs at AR1 community centre.

27th January: Dubai Frame and Zaa’beel Park
We will meet in the Arabian Ranches Golf Club car park at 9am to lift share to the Frame, one of Dubai’s remarkable new attractions. Visitors can take a lift to the viewing area at the top of the Frame with stunning views over Dubai.
There will be a 50 dhs entrance fee, but over 60s are free!!!
