RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.
January 8th 2019 Talk: Dr Sucharita Ghosh of Apex Medical
Handling Medical Emergencies in Dubai
Dr Ghosh is a GP with Apex Medical in Motor City. She will be talking to us about a subject we ought to know about, but are often unsure of, how to handle medical emergencies in Dubai. What happens when you call 999? Which hospital should you go to? What should you do if someone has a stroke, a heart attack, a fall…..Essential questions we often haven’t asked! Dr Ghosh has experience in India, UK, Canada and the Middle East and will guide us through this potentially life saving topic.

Happy new year to all our members. We hope you had a joyful holiday and are ready for another exciting year in Dubai.
RL is looking forward to a busy and productive 2019 with great speakers at future Tuesday Social Morning talks starting with Dr Ghosh next week. We will also meet an ex army captain who will tell us about her experience of the armed forces, an interior designer, a mindfulness meditation coach and at least 2 beauty mornings and a fashion show in the next few weeks. Plenty to keep everyone happy!

RL Circles are starting again, after a well deserved break for the holidays, so now is the perfect time to take a look at the Circles Calendar on our website.
Did you make a New Year’s resolution? Maybe you could join one of our Circles where you will meet like minded, friendly ladies who will support your efforts and share your interests. Are you looking to keep fit? Do you want to learn a new skill, craft or language? Or just join a group to visit the cinema, talk about books or go on a trip or lunch? The Mosaic Circle will recommence on 9th January and then meet again on 23rd.
The Handicrafts Circle starts today, 6th January, and then again on 20th.
Scottish Dancing restarts on Wednesday 9th January.
The Rest of January
The Singing Circle will meet on 16th and the Arts and Crafts Circle too.
The January Book Circle will meet on 20th January at the Golf Club and the next book is “The Muse” by Jessie Burton.
The Literary Lunch Circle will meet on 21st January. The book is “The Wild” by Cheryl Strayed.
Newcomer’s Coffee will be on Thursday 31st January 2019. Come early from 9.30-11.30am upstairs in Shakespeare’s Cafe, Arabian Ranches 1 retail centre. We welcome members, non members, established and new ladies and you don’t need to live on the Ranches. Everyone is welcome.
A reminder, we have a range of books available every Tuesday which have been enjoyed then donated by our ladies. Please browse the selection and feel free to donate any books you have enjoyed reading yourself.
