RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will this week meet from 9.30-12 noon in Birdie’s Bar, Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.
November 27th 2018 Talk: Rachel from My Tasty Garden
with a short address by Jackie Daair about #GivingTuesday
In a change to our programme Rachel from My Tasty Garden will talk to us about growing fruit and vegetables in the UAE climate. Not as difficult as you may think with a bit of knowhow!
Jackie Daair will also talk to us about the increasingly popular day #GivingTuesday which originated in US.
Bettina will be giving a short demonstration of projects to make in her new Handicrafts Circle
Announcements
Access to Birdies Bar at Arabian Ranches Golf Club is behind the Golf Club. Walk through the foyer and a buggy will take you across the golf course to Birdie’s if needed. It is only a short walk from The Golf Club.
Al Ihsan
Many thanks for the reusable bags you have been dropping off, please keep them coming. On Tuesday 4th December we need fruit and vegetables for distribution to the nightly food kitchen in Ajman. Please bring root vegetables, onions, garlic, chillies, ginger, oranges and apples to RL social morning.
Members’ Christmas Lunch
On the 9th December is the RL Christmas Lunch, to be held at our very own Arabian Ranches Golf Club Restaurant. It will be an all inclusive, traditional menu with choices for everyone. Keep the date free!

4th December 2018 Talk: Neda Lakarany of Neda’s Cakes
It really is a cake! Neda’s Cakes creates exquisite and highly detailed cakes for all occasions using only the finest ingredients and materials. Neda will show us some of her creations.
It is also collection day for fruit and vegetables!

There are 2 new circles starting this month. Fadwa’s Crochet Circle and Bettina’s Handicrafts Circle. Bettina will show you how to make greetings cards, gift wrapping, boxes and other seasonal crafts. Fadwa loves yarn! Sign up on our email above.

RL’s monthly Poetry Circle will meet tomorrow, Monday 26th November in Savannah. The topic is “Food and Drink”
Come and meet Bettina at RL Social Morning on 27th November and learn more about what she is offering in her new Handicrafts Circle.
The Book Circle is meeting today, Sunday 25th November, at the Golf Club. The book in the spotlight this month is “The Second Mrs Hockaday” by Susan Rivers.
Newcomer’s Coffee will be on Thursday 29th November. Come early from 9.30-11.30am upstairs in Shakespeare’s Cafe, Arabian Ranches 1 retail centre. We welcome members, non members, established and new ladies and you don’t need to live on the Ranches. Everyone is welcome.

Next year Lorna is hoping to organise a once in a lifetime experience… a helicopter ride over the Dubai Palm with spectacular views of the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. 25th November: Dubai Opera Backstage Tour
This special backstage tour of Dubai Opera House is today. This tour is not often available as it can only be done when there are no performances.
5th December: Marks and Spencer (Festival City Mall)
Marks and Spencer at Dubai Festival City Mall has invited RL members to attend their free event from 9.30-1pm on 5th December. The show focusses on fashion, food tasting and homewares. A sign up list will be circulated at Tuesday meetings.
