Message from RL President
In the past week, the rains and storm have impacted our lives in various ways. In the aftermath of such extreme weather, for some of us, the impact of the storms has been particularly challenging. Homes, businesses, and livelihoods have been affected, and the road to recovery may seem daunting. To those who have experienced loss or hardship, RL extends its heartfelt sympathy. The past few days have been a testament to the strength and unity of our community. We’ve seen neighbours reaching out to help one another, strangers offering support, and countless acts of kindness that remind us of the compassion that binds us together. Despite the disruptions and inconveniences caused by the inclement weather, the spirit of solidarity and empathy has shone through. I am sure that as a community, we will emerge from this stronger, more united, and more compassionate than ever before.

Flood Damage Help
According to local newspaper sources, a number of property developers in Dubai, including Emaar – the developer for Arabian Ranches, have said they will repair flood-damaged homes in their communities at no cost to residents.

The Literary Lunch Circle’s book for April is ‘The Phoenix Crown’ by Kate Quinn and Janie Chang. They will meet to discuss this today, Monday 22nd April.

Walking Fitness Circle
The Walking Circle are making the most of the cool weather with early morning walks on Mondays. From June, they plan to move to indoor walking for the summer months.
Meet on Monday mornings at 7am outside the main entrance of Arabian Ranches 1 community shopping centre.
We will walk for approximately 1 hour depending on route and distance. Stay for tea/coffee afterwards back at the community centre if you have time. New ladies are welcome to join.
