Festive Bazaar – this Thursday evening
The Ranches Ladies’ Festive Bazaar is always a great chance to get into the festive spirit and buy gifts for family and friends. This year the Bazaar will be at The Sustainable City Plaza (close to Arabian Ranches 2) on 25th November from 3-10pm. There will be a Ranches Ladies information stall – so you can come along to renew your membership and find out about circles activities.
It is set to be a great evening – don’t miss it!
Tuesday Mornings
We are currently meeting on Tuesday mornings at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City (across the roundabout from the back entrance of Arabian Ranches 1) from 10.30am- 12pm for coffee and chat, as well as new memberships and renewals.
We hope to be able to restart our social and cultural programme as soon as possible. Stay tuned for details.

New – Pilates Circle
Gillian from Optimal Fitness will be leading the new pilates circle on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm, at Optimal Fitness in Studio City. At least 4 ladies are needed in order to run the class. Please email Email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com for more information.

The Bridge circle, led by Manju, are meeting to play on Thursdays at 11am.

The Mosaics Circle, led by Ayesha, will be on Wednesdays from 10am – 1pm, as long as there are enough ladies, in Green Community East, DIP.

Intermediate Spanish Circle
Manoly is restarting the Intermediate Spanish Circle, once a week on Mondays at 5.30pm.

New – Jewellery Clinic Circle
Ranches Ladies president and jewellery designer, Hayet Zerelli, is running a jewellery clinic circle once a month.
Bring along your old jewellery – beads, silver, gold etc. – that you no longer wear and Hayet will advise or help you change it into something you will wear again.
The next jewellery clinic will be on Wednesday 24th November, 11am-1pm (date changed from that previously announced)

Beginners Arabic Circle

The Beginners Arabic Circle, led by Rana Nazer, will be meeting on Thursday 12.45 – 1.45pm. Location to be confirmed.

Mahjongg Monday Circle
The Mahjongg Monday Circle are meeting to play on Mondays from 10am to 1pm, upstairs in Shakespeare and Co, Arabian Ranches 1.

Poetry Circle
The poetry circle are meeting once a month on Monday afternoons, to share and discuss poems on a theme. The next meeting is on Monday 29th November, 2pm, and the theme is travel.

Yoga Circle
Mariana is teaching yoga. The days have changed to Sundays and Thursdays from 8.30am. The format is 60 minutes of yoga and 30 minutes for tea and snacks.

Quilters Circle
Ranches Ladies Quilters are a group within Ranches Ladies who love creating with quilting, sewing and embroidery.
Monthly meetings are on the third Sunday of the month, currently via Zoom until further notice. There will be various activities, including inviting local and international quilting experts, to share their work and teach different techniques.

22nd Nov – second workshop on a free styling and spiraling technique by Mel Beach, an internationally acclaimed American quilter.

French Circle

Art Circle
The Art Circle, led by Rajul, meet on Thursday mornings to learn new techniques and create beautiful paintings. The venue may vary.

Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle enjoyed discussing Nala’s World by Dean Nicholson last Monday. As many people are busy in December, they will not meet again until January. The next book will be voted on this week.

Book Circle
The Book Circle meets on the third Sunday of each month at 10am to discuss a book which everyone has read prior to the meeting.
The book for November is ‘Away With The Penguins’ by Hazel Prior, a warm-hearted, funny, life-affirming tale about ageing, human kindness, old-fashioned values and protecting our planet. It will be discussed today, 21st November.
The next book is ‘The Beauty of Living Twice’ by Sharon Stone. This may be discussed in either December of January, depending on whether enough people are available to meet in December.

Walking Fitness Circle
The walking circle have restarted now that the weather is less hot. We meet at 7.30am outside Arabian Ranches 1 retail centre main entrance. We walk for approximately one hour at a moderate, but not too slow pace, stopping back at the retail centre for coffee afterwards.
No special equipment required – just normal trainers, maybe a cap or hat and a small bottle of water.

Gardening Circle
The gardening circle are also planning to get outside in the garden from this month onwards. What better way to beat the COVID blues than seeing new life springing up!
Our program usually includes visits to nurseries, interesting gardens and parks and occasionally talks by circle members on various aspects of gardening.
We also share gardening information and sometimes photos of our successes! Whether you have green fingers or not, everyone is welcome.

Cinema Circle
The cinema circle are meeting to watch a movie on Monday mornings (time depends on the film). We usually meet at Vox cinema, Mall of the Emirates (provided there’s something good to see!) and follow the film with coffee and cake/lunch.

International Lunch Circle
The International Lunch Circle are meeting for an Indian Vegetarian Lunch on Sunday 28th November at 12.15pm at Rajul’s house in Arabian Ranches.
There are no places left, but please email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com to be added to the waiting list, or to volunteer to host or help for the next lunch in January.
Hiking Circle
The hiking circle made their first hike last week to Al Rabi peak. If you would like to join them on future hikes please email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com
