Annie Martin
This week, we were saddened to hear of the loss of a former Ranches Ladies member. Annie Martin passed away on 30 the May peacefully at home in Spain with her family around her.
Annie was a well loved member of Ranches Ladies for several years. She was an enthusiastic member of Carole’s Scottish dance circle where she worked very hard and became a very good dancer. She was also a member of the Spanish Circle. Her many friends in Ranches Ladies remember her as a kind, elegant lady who was always smiling.
May she rest in peace.
Sunday Quiz Night at Studio One Hotel
Ranches Ladies are planning to enter a couple of teams for the Sunday Quiz Night at The Void in Studio One Hotel on Sunday 13th June.

Tuesday Mornings
We are waiting for official approval to restart our regular Tuesday social mornings, we hope this will be possible after the summer break.
In the meantime, please pop along to LARTE restaurant in Studio One Hotel on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 – 11.30am to meet Julia or Jeanette and find out about membership and activities.

RL Circles News
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, some circle groups are meeting online or in socially distanced ways.
Most groups will take a break during the summer months.
A quick update from some of the circles:
The Walking Fitness Circle are taking a break due to the extreme weather and hope to restart around mid-September.
The online Yoga classes are not currently going on and may restart in person after the summer, if possible.
The Quilters Circle finished the year with an online retreat and plan to start again after the summer break.
The Uni Mums Circle and Cinema Circle are taking a break until October.
The Poetry and Scottish Dancing Circles have not been meeting this year due to COVID restrictions – they plan to restart in September if restrictions allow.

Mahjongg Monday Circle
The Mahjongg Circle are meeting on Mondays from 10am during the month of June, after which they will take a break for the summer.

Book Circle
The Book Club meets on the third Sunday of each month at 10am.
They are currently reading ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig, which will be discussed on 20th June.
The book for July will be ‘Fall of Marigolds’ by Susan Meissner.

Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle continue to meet on the third Monday each month.
The June book choice is ‘The Art Forger’ by Barbara Shapiro, which will be discussed on 21st June.

Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle, led by Manoly, is meeting remotely this month, then taking a break for July and August.
The times of the classes are Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners
French Circle
The French Circle are meeting this month, before taking a break until September.
