Friday 28th May is ‘Don’t Fry Day’ for Skin Cancer Prevention. It’s getting hot out there, so seek shade, cover up, or use a sunscreen of at least 30 SPF. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Tuesday Mornings
We are waiting for official approval to restart our regular Tuesday social mornings.
In the meantime, please pop along to LARTE restaurant in Studio One Hotel on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 – 11.30am to meet Julia or Jeanette and find out about membership and activities.

Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival
The 12th annual Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival continues at the Sharjah Expo Centre until 29th May with interactive sessions and cultural activities.

RL Circles News
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, circle groups are meeting online or in socially distanced ways, where possible.

Art Circle
The Art Circle have been trying out a range of different techniques and producing some beautiful pieces. Here are some photos with their works in progress.

Book Circle
The Book Club meets on the third Sunday of each month at 10am.
They are currently reading ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig.
The book for July will be ‘Fall of Marigolds’ by Susan Meissner.

Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle continue to meet on the third Monday each month.
The June book choice is ‘The Art Forger’ by Barbara Shapiro.

The French Circle is up and running virtually so if you would be interested in improving your language skills get in touch with Dominique on ranches.ladies@gmail.com. Classes are held every Sunday at 10am
Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle has also restarted remotely this month led by Manoly. The times of the classes are:
Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners
Yoga Circle
Pilates Circle
On Wednesday at 2pm Philippa at Optimal Fitness is holding Pilates classes and offers RL members a discount on Zumba classes on Tuesday mornings. Email her on philippa@optimalfitness.ae
