Ranches Ladies is still asking the CDA to approve the re-opening of RL and until we get permission we are encouraging past and new members to rejoin so that we are in a great position to start as soon as we get the go ahead

RL Circles News

RL is very sad to be saying goodbye and thank you to Jackie, our Circles Coordinator and great friend to Ranches Ladies for many years. Jackie is stepping down as Coordinator but will continue to lead the Gardening and Book circles

Jackie has been at the heart of RL for a long time, supporting all our Presidents and the committee, and her help and advice has been really appreciated. We are delighted that she is remaining a member and will continue to support our organisation

Volunteer Vacancies

It is no surprise at the moment, but unfortunately RL is seeing a lot of people leaving UAE. As a consequence RL has 2 vacancies at the moment for volunteers, with more openings coming up when RL is allowed to meet again

At the moment we need a volunteer to coordinate our Circles Programme and to help set up new circles. Jackie is always available to give some advice and the whole committee is there to help. No volunteer works alone

Sara currently writes the RL Newsletter, published every Sunday morning, updates the website and uploads RL news to Facebook. Sara is leaving Dubai in February and would like to pass on these duties with plenty of time to hand over. It sounds a bit daunting but Sara had no IT experience whatsoever when she took on the role and has just about managed to keep the show on the road for 3 years

RL Quilters

The next online RL Quilters meeting will be on 15th November but they have plenty going on with online tutorials and classes. Contact Sita on thequilterscircle@gmail.com for any quilting questions

Literary Lunch Circle

The November choice is Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club. Richard is known for his quick wit and his book has been receiving very favourable reviews

What a marvellous title for the Book Circle’s book of the month! You have 2 great books to look forward to this month

French Circle

The French Circle is up and running virtually so if you would be interested in improving your language skills get in touch with Domenique on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com

Spanish Circle

The Spanish Circle is also restarting remotely this month led by Manoly. The times of the classes are:

Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners

Yoga Circle

Pilates Circle

On Wednesday at 2pm Philippa at Optimal Fitness is holding Pilates classes and offers RL members a discount on Zumba classes on Tuesday mornings. Email her on philippa@optimalfitness.ae

Egyptian Cookery

Fadwa, the Egyptian Cookery circle leader, is a keen quilter and a dab hand at crochet too. She has made these delightful yarn pumpkins
