RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.
April 30th 2019: Yvonne Stoop
This week we welcome Yvonne Stoop. Yvonne is the national title holder of the 2018 Goldwell Hairstylist Competition. Yvonne has been working at the high end Dubai Institution ‘Salon Ink’ based in Umm Sequeim 2 for almost 7 years. Ladies, we are in for a treat.
This article from Time Out Dubai says it all… “she expertly works her magic, which touches everything from colour to cuts. She’s a deft hand at applying natural-looking balayage and not the type to push conversation on clients, expertly gauging whether you’re a flat-out chatterer or prefer to relax. The salon itself is famed for its avant garde styles (leopard print buzz cut, anyone?) and recently, blue ombre hair.”
Announcements
On Tuesday 23rd April it was our 2019 Ranches Ladies AGM. RL President Connie gave a short speech celebrating 13 years of our fabulous club and a recap of all the activities and outings you can enjoy with membership of RL. The circles, outings, entertainment and friendships are made possible by membership of Ranches Ladies.
CDA Inspector Musead Mohamed Alblooshi attended the AGM and stayed for the whole morning, chatting to the members, viewing our Circles’ display and experiencing the fun of an RL social morning. He helped us celebrate the successful conclusion to Connie’s 1st year as President. Thank you Connie for all your time, effort and enthusiasm for Ranches Ladies. 2019 has been a great year so far.
Also joining us for the morning were the ladies from TransformBody Ladies Centre in Motor City. During the morning they offered nail polish change, head and shoulders massage and mini Dermalogica facials. TLC gave vouchers and goodies to lucky on the spot quiz winners.
Come along to Oasis Fashion in Wafi Mall between 10-1pm on Sunday 28th April for a morning of special discounts for RL members. Angela will show us her new stock and help us to get our summer wardrobe sorted out. There really is something for everyone with lovely summer dresses, hats and fascinators, trousers and jewellery.

This Week
The Mosaics Circle meetings will be held next month on Wednesday 1st and 15th May.
On 2nd May is the third Italian Culture Circle meeting at Eataly restaurant in Dubai Mall from 10am. This week you will help the Chef make Mozzarella cheese.
Uni Mums will meet on Thursday at 10am in Shakespeare’s cafe in AR1 community centre. It is a change of scene from our usual meeting place and hopefully easier for lots of mums whose children are older to attend.
Beginner’s Spanish takes place on Sundays at 5.30pm and on Mondays at 1.30pm. Please sign up if you would like to learn, or improve your skill, in the Spanish language.
The Leather Jewellery Circle is held every Thursday afternoon from 1pm. You will make some lovely leather pieces of your choice from bags to bracelets.

5th May 2019: Sunset Yacht Trip
On 5th May Allison has organised a sunset yacht trip departing from Business Bay at 4.30pm for approximately 2 hours. For only 80dhs, cruise gently around the bay towards the Burj Al Arrab on a 56ft yacht with the sun dropping below the horizon.
