RL Tuesday Social Morning
Our Social Morning will meet this week from 9.30-12 noon in Baker Finch Room at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Please note the programme starts at 10.30 am.

Holistic Wellbeing Specialist
Suz is the founder and owner of Sourceful, a life style and events consultancy specialising in holistic wellbeing through meditation, yoga, ThetaHealing, Reiki, mindfulness and art therapy. Suz will lead us in a mandala art workshop and teach us about using art as a therapeutic tool.

On Tuesday 12th March you need to save the date for a special RL morning of fashion at our ever popular annual Fashion Show. More details to follow.
On Tuesday 26th February RL hosted Dedra Stevenson, an author and film producer based in UAE. Dedra gave a fascinating talk about her road from Alabama to UAE and the impetus that pushed her into being an author. Dedra recommends her book Desert Magnolia as the best introduction to her writing.
Al Ihsan
RL made another successful trip to Ajman last Tuesday. Jeanette and Connie took along all your lovely donations and they were received with gratitude and many messages of thanks for our continued support. They filled around 150 bags with food for distribution and handed out your kind donations with pleasure.
In addition to food, one RL member gave 40 colouring pencils and notepads which delighted the children. It was a joy to see their faces light up at receiving an unexpected gift just for them. We also handed in 3 bags of unwanted medications to the pharmacy. These were gratefully received.
We asked the organisers what they thought would be well received next month and the quick response was oil, flour and sugar to enable the ladies to make their own bread. Collecting starts next week for this excellent target of enabling ladies to bake their own bread!

The Gardening Circle will take a rest in March and will next be held in April.
Have you ever wanted to play mahjong? Beginners are welcome at both the Sunday Circle at 12.30pm at Shakespeare’s Cafe and the Monday Circle at 10.30am at Al Arrab restaurant, both in AR1. Tuition will be given to teach you this absorbing game.

This Week
The Handicrafts Circle will meet today, Sunday March 3rd, to make another lovely craft project.
The Mosaics Circle will meet on Wednesday 6th March and again on 20th in Savannah.
The Arabic Conversation Circle will not meet this Tuesday 5th but will be held on 12th March as usual.
Coming Up Soon
The Book Circle will meet on 17th March at the Golf Club. The book is “Educated ” by Tara Westover.
The Quilters will also meet on the 17th from 9.30am at the Golf Club.
The Literary Lunch Circle will next meet on Monday, 18th March. The chosen book is When You Disappeared by John Marrs.
Our next Ladies Lunch, see above, will be on 24th March and we hope for a lot of support from our generous ladies.
The Art Circle will restart on Monday 24th March.
Previous Trip
24th February 2019: Trip to Old Dubai
On this RL trip we explored Old Dubai. We had a fabulous morning, and achieved a lot, visiting the Al Fahidi district, Shiva Temple, Textile, Spice and Gold Souqs and Woman’s Museum. This was a very popular trip!
