We need one or two more ladies to share this task, so that it won’t take up much time for each.

Please note:
The Aquafit Circle is currently on hold due to pool renovations.
Due to logistical issues, the planned Trip Circle to watch Camel Racing and visit the Heritage Village at Marmoon on 15th November is cancelled. It may be arranged in a future date if possible.
International Festivals Lunch Circle – Diwali Lunch
We had RL International Diwali lunch at Rajul’s place this Tuesday. The house was decorated with flowers, lights and beautiful Diwali decorations. The lunch was hosted by Rajul, Sonali and Praveena. Ladies wore beautiful Indian clothes & were welcomed in a traditional Indian style with Bindis on their forehead, bangles in their wrists and a string of jasmine flowers in their hair. We displayed a lot of our natural fabrics like cotton & silk & intricate handwork that is used in our costumes. There was an elaborate spread of Indian dishes cooked with love by the three hostesses. They shared a lot of interesting information about Diwali, Indian culture & traditions. Carole recited a beautiful poem, The three mangoes, written by Noble Prize laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore. In the end everyone got an Indian dupatta/sash as a gift. The afternoon was very enjoyable and it was a wonderful cultural experience.

Art Circle
The Art Class had a lovely class last week with ladies making some beautiful paintings.
The Art Circle, led by Rajul, meet in Arabian Ranches 1. Beginners class on Mondays from 10am to 12 noon and regular class on Thursdays from 10am to 12noon.

Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle are currently reading The Change by Kirsten Miller. They plan to meet to discuss this over lunch on Monday 18th November. Venue to be decided.
