Ranches Ladies are meeting every Tuesday morning at Larte, Studio One Hotel in Studio City, 10.30am to 12 midday. Join us for tea or coffee and a chat. You can also join or renew your RL membership and find out about activities on offer.
Volunteer Needed

We urgently require a volunteer to coordinate discounts for Ranches Ladies. Shelly, who has been our Discounts Coordinator for some years, is now stepping down from this role. Thank you Shelly for all you have done for RL.
The Discount Coordinator role involves communicating with current and potential new discount partners from time to time, to keep the discounts updated. If you can help or would like more information please email ranches.ladies@gmail.com

What would you like to share with other RL members?
We need short (200-300 word) articles for this newsletter, with photos if possible. It would be great to have an article for each week’s newsletter.

RL Circles News

The number of Circles activities have increased so it is not possible to fit each one on the newsletter every week. See the Circles Calendar on the website for more activities. The new calendar for May is now available.
Lunch Circle at Toro Tori Restaurant





Last week, the Lunch Circle enjoyed a delicious Latin American themed 3 course lunch at Tori Tori Restaurant in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Resort. A great time was had by all. A big thank you to Karen for organising.

International Festival Lunch Circle

The International Festival Lunch Circle are celebrating Global Africa Day on 25th May with a lunch hosted by Jackie Daair with help from other RL members. Please contact Carole Binbrek or email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to join.
May 25th is Africa Day, formerly called African Freedom Day. It is the annual commemoration of the creation of the Organization of African Unity back in 1963, renamed the African Union in 2002. The OAU aimed to eradicate colonialism, foreign domination and exploitation, and encourage political and economic integration among member states.
Walking Fitness Circle

Come and join the Walking Circle while the weather is still not too hot. Meet on Mondays at 7.15am outside the main entrance of the Community Retail centre in Arabian Ranches to walk for around one hour. Tea/coffee in Costa afterwards at 8.15am.

Beach Walking Circle
The Beach Walking Circle, led by Monika, at Kite beach (Blue Villas parking) on Tuesdays at 6.30am, walk for around 7-8 km and stop for coffee afterwards.

The Embroidery Circle, led by Saba, are meeting on Thursdays 10.30am-12pm at Saba’s home in Al Furjan. Materials will be supplied for new ladies to get them started.

Literary Lunch Circle

The Literary Lunch Circle, led by Ashfaa, are reading ‘Honey and Spice’ the debut novel by internationally bestselling author, Bolu Babalola. They plan to meet to discuss this on Monday 22nd May over lunch.

Poetry Circle

The theme for the next Poetry Circle meeting, planned for Monday 29th May, 2.30-4.30pm is Greek and Roman Mythology. If you would like to join, please bring 2 or 3 poems on the theme to read and discuss.

Ranches Ladies Quilters, led by Saba, are a group within Ranches Ladies who love creating with quilting, sewing and embroidery.
