ENJO – a cleaning system that protects the environment

On Tuesday, I had a fantastic introduction to the Ranches Ladies membership at the ENJO presentation. Who knew a presentation on cleaning systems could be so interesting? The ENJO team had me hooked with their sustainability and clean air agendas. It confirmed to me what I’ve instinctively known for a while, that back to basic cleaning with water, lemon juice, vinegar and baking soda water is the way to go. Add to that the magic ENJO sponges, all-purpose cleaning cloths, mop pads and home-made orange blossom air-freshener, and I’m now convinced that it’s time to go all in. There’s even a tutorial on how to optimise the products and clean effectively, thrown in.
Thanks to Josephine’s enviable powers of organisation and liaison, there was an impressive turn-out of women on the morning and a buzz in the air. The perfect audience and network for ENJO, I would say, particularly, given their past membership of Ranches Ladies. Everywhere I turned there was a great conversation to be had and Studio One was the perfect venue.
One of the charms of the presentation was a number of impromptu contributions from customers who had discovered ENJO years earlier and could attest to the value and integrity of the products. Also, the presenter, Diane’s story about the effect of chemicals on her health and how she was able to turn this around was really an extraordinary testimony. It’s always great to hear about the genesis of a good business idea and how it transitions into being. All of the above has convinced me to give it a try.
It was a fantastic inaugural event for this new member. I already feel I’m getting great value from joining Ranches Ladies. More like this please!
Christmas Craft Morning – Book Now
Ranches Ladies Christmas Festive Wreath making & festive coffee morning will be on Tuesday, December 13th 2022 at Larte, Studio One Hotel in Studio City. Open to Ranches Ladies Members and visitors.
This festive event gives us the opportunity to make and decorate and take home your own personally designed wreath in the comfort of Larte together with guidance and quality materials supplied by Gorgeous Flowers of Dubai. Tea or coffee and festive pastries will be served after the craft activity.
Come and celebrate our first post-covid Ranches Ladies festive morning and get into the spirit of the festive season.

Tuesday Mornings
Ranches Ladies are meeting every Tuesday morning for coffee at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City (across the roundabout from the back entrance of Arabian Ranches 1) from 10.30am – 12pm.
Please note, there are roadworks and road closures in the area of the 2 roundabouts which connect the back exit of Arabian Ranches to Studio City and Motor City and it is not possible to cross over directly to Studio City. Probably the best routes to reach Studio One Hotel from Arabian Ranches are via D61 (Hessa Street) or D54. More details of suggested routes have been sent on the RL members WhatsApp group.

RL Circles News
The number of Circles activities are increasing so it is not possible to fit each one on the newsletter every week. See the Circles Calendar for November on the website for more activities.

PaperCraft Circle
Hand Embroidery Circle
Saba would like to start a Hand Embroidery Circle, for ladies to stitch as a group and learn new techniques. Please email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com of you are interested.
International Lunch Circle
Carole is planning to restart the International Lunch Circle in November. The new plan is for lunches to be focused on International Festivals from members’ home countries. So, for November this could be Thanksgiving, or any other festival happening during November or December.
Volunteers are requested to help cook and host. Please contact Carole or email circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to get involved.

New – Crochet Circle
The new Crochet Circle, led by Debra, has started every Tuesday from 1-3pm and Thursday from 8:30-10:30am.

Art Circle
The Art Circle meet on Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon to learn new techniques and create beautiful paintings. Last weeks art class was lovely with varied themes and members putting in a lot of hard work. New members are welcome.

Hiking Circle
The Hiking Circle are making the most of the cooler mornings to get out of the city and enjoy the natural beauty of the UAE. From this month hikes are meeting at 7am and being adapted to finish around 11am, to beat the heat.
Here are some photos from last week’s hike in Al Hora, which is the tiny piece of Oman between Khorfakkan & Fujairah.

Walking Circles
Now that the weather has cooled down a bit, the Walking Circle are walking outdoors again, starting at 7.15am outside Costa Coffee Arabian Ranches 1 retail centre.

Beach Walking Circle
The Beach Walking Circle, led by Monika, at Kite beach (Blue Villas parking) on Tuesdays at 6.30am, walk for around 7-8 km and stop for coffee afterwards.

Book Circle
The Book Circle are currently reading ‘3mph: The Adventures of One Woman’s Walk Around the World’, by Polly Letofsky – a courageous journey full of humanity, charity and spirit.
They plan to meet at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday 18th November, 9.30am to discuss the book. New members welcome.
Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle met last Monday in Coffee Club, Dubai Hills Mall, to discuss the classic, “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. This was truly a very nice meeting with a lot of interesting takes and opinions by the members.
The book for November is ‘Small Things Like These’ by Claire Keegan. The next meeting is planned for November 21st.
Yoga Circle
Mariana is teaching yoga – 8.30am on Fridays and 6.30pm on Tuesdays.
