Circles Coffee Morning – Tuesday 11th October

Don’t miss our Circles Coffee Morning from 10.30am on Tuesday 11th October. It will be a great opportunity to meet the circle leaders and find out more about what’s on offer at RL!

Ranches Ladies are meeting every Tuesday mornings for coffee at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City (across the roundabout from the back entrance of Arabian Ranches 1) from 10.30am – 12pm. It is a great chance to catch up and find out about membership and activities.

Membership Renewals

If you have not yet renewed your membership, or you would like to join as a new member, you can do this at Larte Cafe, Studio One Hotel, Studio City on any Tuesday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Please bring completed membership form, your Emirates ID (or passport if ID unavailable) and fee of 120 AED. Get more information and download the form on the membership section of our website: Ranches Ladies Membership and Renewals

If you are unable to get to Larte on Tuesday morning to do your renewal, you can ask a friend to bring your form, copy of your ID and membership fee.

Volunteer for Ranches Ladies

Thank you to those members who have volunteered to help with membership coordination and social media.

We still require 1 or 2 Web-team members to help update the website.

The International Lunch Circle, led by Carole, are looking for volunteers to cook, host or help with future lunches.

Do you have something to share? Maybe an update on your circle group or your favourite place in Dubai or further afield? Photos appreciated along with updates or article.

Gardening Circle

On Friday 30th September, RL gardening circle spent a wonderful morning at the Garden Concept Store learning how to care for orchids and other indoor plants. A huge thank you to Lucy & Chris for arranging it and to Dr Shahid for sharing his expertise! Each lady received a gift of a beautiful Peace Lily plant plus a discount on their purchases. We also enjoyed coffee/tea and delicious cakes at the Roseleaf café.

French Circle

Many thanks to Bea Sion for agreeing to lead the French Circle. They will be meeting on Fridays for 10am to 12pm. New members welcome.

Spanish Circle

Maria Sierra has kindly agreed to take on the Spanish circle – Thursday morning for beginners and Friday morning for beginners and intermediates – time and location to be confirmed. Maria has an experience of 30 years as a teacher and her lessons are fun, interactive and enjoyable.

Cinema Circle

The Cinema circle, led by Marina, will restart on Mondays at Vox Cinema, Mall of the Emirates. Time depends on the movie chosen.

Yoga Circle

Mariana has restarted her outdoor yoga classes – 8.30am on Fridays and 6.30pm on Tuesdays. Email circle.ranches.ladies@gmail.com to find out more.

Indoor Walking Circle

The Walking Circle are continuing indoors until the weather cools down. They meet at Dubai Hills Mall outside Marks and Spencer’s at 9am to walk for one hour around the mall. Stay afterwards for refreshments and a chat at the small cafe inside M&S. New ladies are always welcome to join.

Closest parking is via Entrance E, Sharaf DG Parking P1.

Beach Walking Circle

The Beach Walking Circle, led by Monika, at Kite beach (Blue Villas parking) on Tuesdays at 6.30am, walk for around 7-8 km and stop for coffee afterwards.

Literary Lunch Circle

The Literary Lunch Circle, led by Ashfaa, met last week at Arabian Ranches Golf Club to discuss ‘Songbirds’ by Christy Lefteri and ‘The Marble Collector’ by Cecelia Ahern. The book for this month is ‘The Picture of Dorian Grey’ by Oscar Wilde and the next meeting is planned for 24th October.

The Mahjongg Monday Circle are meeting to play on Mondays from 10.15am to 1pm, upstairs in Shakespeare and Co, Arabian Ranches 1.

The Book Circle, led by Jackie, are reading Three Daughters of Eve by award-winning British-Turkish novelist Elif Shafak. They plan to meet on Friday 14th October at 9.30am to discuss this at Arabian Ranches Golf Club Restaurant.
