Changes to Ranches Ladies Board Membership
Our long standing board members Liz stark, Julia Handley and Jeannette Entwistle are stepping down to move on to other endeavours. We would like to thank Liz, Julia and Jeanette for all their fantastic work over the years and their contributions to the tremendous growth of Ranches Ladies.
On behalf of Ranches ladies I would like to wish them all the best in their new adventures. Hayet Zerelli (RL President).
Election of New Board Members
We have 3 new proposed board members:
Carole Anne Binbrek – for Vice President
Jane Hennessy – for Director of Events
Lynne Haboubi – for Director of Wellbeing
All Ranches Ladies members will soon receive an email regarding the election of the new board members.
If you are in agreement there is no need to reply to the email. Please reply to this message only if you have an objection to the proposed board members.
If we don’t hear from you we will count you as a YES vote.
More Volunteers Needed!
Ranches Ladies cannot run without the valuable work of our members who volunteer in various roles. All our board and committee members are volunteers.
There are some other roles where we urgently need some extra help:
Membership Coordinators – to help sign up new members and maintain membership list.
RL Email Coordinators – to check and respond to emails.
Web-team Members – to help with posting to Social Media and responding to messages.

Tuesday Mornings
Any Ranches Ladies who are in Dubai over the summer are welcome to meet on Tuesday mornings for coffee and chat at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City (across the roundabout from the back entrance of Arabian Ranches 1) from 10.30am – 12pm. As many people are travelling, please check on RL members WhatsApp group before going to Larte. To join the Ranches Ladies Whatsapp group if you are a member, please email ranches.ladies@gmail.com
Get writing over the summer!
If you have time over the summer, please consider writing a short (200 to 300 words) article, with photos if possible, to be included in this newsletter when it returns. Maybe you could write about your summer travels, your Circle groups or any other topics you think would be of interest to other RL members.

RL Circles News
As many circles are not planing to meet in July and August, there will be no new Circles Calendar until September.
Circles in July/August
These Circles may continue meeting if enough ladies are available. Please check with Circle leaders.
Cinema Circle
The Cinema Circle, led by Marina, plan to meet on Monday Mornings in July if enough people are interested. They are not planning to meet in August.

Mahjongg Monday Circle
The Mahjongg Monday Circle are meeting to play on Mondays from 10am to 1pm.

Book Circle
The Book Circle, led by Jackie, will continue informally over the summer as only a few members are around. They will be reading ‘Pachinko’ by Min Jin Lee and ‘Blood Orange’ by Harriet Tyce.

Art Circle
The Art Circle, led by Rajul, may meet in July or August if enough people are available. Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon. New members welcome.

Walking Circle
The Walking Circle, led by Alex, are continuing their indoor walks over the summer. They meet at Dubai Hills Mall outside Marks and Spencer’s at 9am to walk for one hour and have coffee afterwards.

Pilates Circle
The Pilates Circle meet on Thursday afternoons 2-3pm, at Optimal Fitness in Studio City. Gillian from Optimal Fitness is teaching the class and there is space for more ladies to join. They may be able to continue over the summer if enough people are around.
