Yesterday was the Christmas Bazaar held at Studio One Hotel and it was a lovely start to the festive period. Beautifully arranged around the pool at Studio One, the stalls were selling stunning jewellery, fashionable clothing and beautiful accessories. The restaurants were doing a roaring trade as everyone enjoyed this festive occasion

Mosaic Circle

Art Circle
The Art Circle is copying Claude Monet’s famous painting of the Japanese bridge over his water lily pond at his home in Giverny, France. Rajul has been teaching us some techniques in acrylic paints and Shelley has made an incredible start to her picture

Gardening Circle
Although the Gardening Circle has not been able to meet in person Jackie has continued to to keep busy in her garden. She decided to grow vegetables from seed and has had a bumper crop of peppers and papaya seedlings. So many, in fact, she would like to give some away!

Walking Fitness Circle
Members of the Walking Fitness Circle are meeting at 7.30am outside Costa coffee at AR1 community centre every Monday. We are walking in socially distanced pairs, and walk for around an hour, finishing where we begin at Costa.

Literary Lunch Circle
The December book choice is Avni Doshi’s Burnt Sugar. Avni Doshi is an American novelist currently based in Dubai and this book recently made the Booker shortlist. We will discuss it in January after the Christmas break

Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle has also restarted remotely this month led by Manoly. The times of the classes are:
Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners
