Our Social Morning will meet this week from 10 am in Larte Restaurant at Studio One Hotel, Studio City

Studio One Hotel
On Tuesday 17th March the RL Social Morning will be held in Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel. Larte will serve coffee and pastries for 35 dhs for members and 45 dhs for non members. Please come and meet us from 10am at this lovely new venue. We had a great time on our last visit.

The Sports Bar AR Golf Club
RL social morning was held up in the new Sports Bar at AR golf club (formerly the Baker Finch room) and it’s a very comfortable venue. We enjoyed a wonderful talk by Lynne Haboubi about how to get involved in the UAE. There’s a lot we can do as long as we follow the rules and obtain the recommended permits

NEW CIRCLE SUGGESTION: EMPOWER WOMEN
Renate Wernery has made a wonderful suggestion for a new evening circle which would be called Empower Women
The world and Dubai is full of strong and successful women we could invite to talk to us in various, interesting venues.
Renate is a member of SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL of Gulf-Dubai and is very passionate in encouraging sincerity in friendship and empower the advancement of women everywhere.
She already has some possible speakers lined up including Kim Thompson of RAW COFFEE; Assia, a Dubai citizen, who has single-handed secured training in our best hotels for rape and torture victims from African countries and Sareh Ameri, founder and first president of Soroptimist International of Gulf-Dubai, where we all actively volunteer our talents and energy to help women and girls live their dreams every day by giving them resources to create positive change – for themselves, their families and their communities.
To obtain speakers of this calibre, we would need to ensure sufficient support. If this is something you would be seriously interested in joining, please email Jackie or talk to Renate or Jackie at one of the RL meetings.

The Literary Lunch is on tomorrow 16th March and they are reading Amor Towles’ magnificent novel A Gentleman in Moscow

The Walking Fitness Circle is now every Monday and Thursday at 7am. Meet Jeanette outside the main entrance of Ranches community centre for a 5-6km walk followed by coffee at Costa. We leave at 7am promptly. Let Jeanette know on circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com if you would like to come along
The Quilting Circle are meeting today 15 March after enjoying their retreat in Ajman

The Yoga Circle meets every Thursday at 8.30am. With walking and pilates too you can really get fit!
The Pilates Circle meets every Wednesday at 2pm at Optimal Fitness in Studio City
