 Our Social Mornings meet from 9.30-12.00 in the Baker Finch Room, Arabian Ranches Golf Club.   Please note the programme starts promptly at 10.30 and would ladies please be seated by then

Nayla Al Khaja – Film Maker – Come and meet the lady behind the lens.

We are delighted to welcome Nayla al Khaja as our guest speaker next Tuesday.  Emirati film maker and multi award winning Nayla shares her story with us and we can’t wait to meet her.  Bring a friend. All ladies welcome. Don’t miss it!!

Announcements:

• Thanks to Aicha Kowatly who has resigned from the post of Discount Co-ordinator.  She is setting up her own business and we wish her well in her new venture.  Thanks also for the many lovely prizes she has donated for our monthly raffle.  She has made a new folder which you can peruse on a Tuesday morning of discounts available to members or checkout the website. • Kathy Chater, who is the Meet and Greet Co-ordinator, urgently needs more Meet and Greet Ladies.  You are on duty from 9.30-10.30 once a month and get to wear these lovely lilac chiffon scarves.
  It is very important that newcomers are greeted at the entrance and made to feel welcome from the minute they step in the room.  Kathy also need an assistant as well.  Please email us at ranches.ladies@gmail.com or see Kathy or Carole on a Tuesday morning.  No special skills needed, just a friendly smile.
• We need applications to be on the Board of Directors of Ranches Ladies.  We find we cannot manage with the current 5 and want to change the Constitution to allow for 7.  The deadline for applicants is Thursday 29th October.  You need to be in Dubai for at least another 1 1/2 years until February 2018, the date of the next election
• Don’t forget the MONILI DIAMOND RAFFLE  is still ongoing every Tuesday.  Who will be wearing that beautiful set at Christmas?   New Years Eve?  At the new Opera House? Click this link for more details “Special Events”

• Quilters Circle  Sunday 25th September at 9.30.am
• Poetry Monday 26th September at 2.30pm. The theme is Gardening or Gardens.  All welcome to bring some poems and read them to us and listen to ours.
• Mosaic Circle Wednesday 28th September  1.00 – 4.00pm
• Newcomers Coffee Morning Thursday 29th September 9.30am
• Get your walking shoes ready as the Walking Fitness Circle resumes on Wednesday the 26th October. New Leader, Anshu Aggarwal – click this link for full details “Walking  Fitness Circle”
• Everyone who belongs to a Circle is welcome to make up a 4 or 8 line verse about that circle to be read at the upcoming Circles Morning  on Tues 11th October.  You or your leader can read it out.  A prize will be given to the best verse of the morning.  Jot it down on your phone so you don’t forget it if you make one up

• Alison who organises all our trips is aslo in need of an assisant. It is difficult to run a trip on her own on the day.  Trips are either the 2nd or 4th Sundays of each month except this month as the 2nd October is a public holiday
