Good morning Ranches Ladies!
The Easter Bunny may well be on the horizon, however the date he brings the Easter eggs generally varies from year to year.
Ever wondered why that is?
To answer the question we have to look to the moon and the way astronomical influences come together with religious traditions.
Easter Sunday always occurs on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon.
That particular full moon date is regarded as the ecclesiastical date on or after the ecclesiastical Spring Equinox.
The merger of different influences around this yearly occasion has led to the saying ‘a moveable feast’.
This results in Easter occurring anywhere between late March and late April.
So the Paschal Full Moon happened on April 13th and was also called the Pink Moon. This Pink Moon is April’s first full moon in Spring and had the Dubai Astronomy Group out viewing the night sky in the desert at Al Qudra.
Fortunately, the moon’s activity isn’t a problem for the Easter Bunny and he always gets the message.
All those sweet treats are inevitably going to be delivered to anyone celebrating this occasion.
So, stand by for plenty of your favourite chocolate and another Spring festivity to enjoy.

Ranches Ladies Tuesday coffee mornings takes place at Larte, Studio One Hotel, from 10:30am to 12pm. Ladies of all ages, wherever you live, are welcome to join us.
The Canasta Circle
The Canasta Circle held an Easter Tournament today. We had a wonderful day of games, prizes, delicious food and lots of laughs!
The Book Circle
The Book Circle will discuss the Island of Sea Women by Lisa See on Friday 25th April at 9.30am. A historical novel set on the Korean island of Jehu, the story centers around the Haenyeo, all-female free divers who harvest sea creatures such as abalone and sea urchins from the ocean floor.
The New Bowling Circle
Are you ready to roll?

The Art Circle
If you like painting, do come and join our Circle. The Art Circle, led by Rajul, meet on Mondays (Beginners)
and Thursdays (Regular students) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Arabian Ranches 1.
The Mosaics Circle
Mosaic in Ayesha’s garden in an Oasis of Happiness! The ladies have finished some beautiful projects this week. Come join us and make some wonderful pieces. Wednesdays, 10.30am to 1pm.
The Decoupage Circle
Spring and Easter projects are in full swing at the Ranches Ladies Decoupage Circle! This week, the ladies got creative with spring-patterned napkins—upcycling a water bottle and transforming a cotton rope basket with beautiful decoupage designs.
Join us every Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM for more fun and creativity!
Aqua Fit Circle
The Aqua Fit Circle is back with a splash. It’s about having fun with friends while getting fit.
Wednesdays and Fridays 9.30 to 10.30am. Come join us if you are interested in our circle.
Public Speaking Skills
The Public Speaking Circle met again. Next time they will put all the techniques they learnt into action as they make presentations to the rest of the group.
Yoga Circle
We meet twice a week in the morning. It’s a beautiful way to start the day with gentle stretches and mindful movement. We listen to the birdsong, connect with nature and ourselves, and embrace the good vibes.
Over time, we’ve become friends. After yoga, we enjoy a cup of tea together, share our thoughts and chat.
The Walking Circle
Walking is a fantastic way to stay fit, meet new friends, and enjoy the beautiful weather during the cooler months. Start the New Year with our Walking Circles!
- Mondays at 7 AM – Arabian Ranches 1
- Wednesdays at 9 AM – Marina Mall
Each walk lasts about an hour and wraps up with tea or coffee nearby. We’d love to see you out in the fresh air! For more details, contact Josephine or Nicki at circles.ranches.ladies@gmail.com.
Scrabble Circle
