As a rule, man is a fool
When it is hot he wants it cool
When it is cool he wants it hot
Always wanting what is not
From scorching heat to rainy season
From snow and sleet to any other reason
You look for escape from a weather extreme
Plan a holiday to fulfill your dream
You look happy for a while
Your face is lit up with a smile
It feels like paradise to eat and roam
But soon it is time to come back home
Alas, change of weather you cannot beat
Coming back from a holiday or retreat
You find reasons to rejoice
When you have no other choice
To live in weather hot or cold
You learn to survive, you become bold
Make yourself happy near or far
You make peace wherever you are

Tuesday Coffee Morning
From this Tuesday onwards, Ranches Ladies coffee morning with new membership and renewals, is back to the usual venue of Larte, Studio One Hotel from 10.30-12 noon.

Book Circle
Last Friday, the Book Circle had a very interesting morning with local author, Annabel Kantaria. We discussed her first book, Coming Home, her other novels and the difficulties of the whole publishing process. A huge thank you to Annabel for her time and for sharing her insights with us. We also got a small taste of what her next book might be about – we’re looking forward to reading it!

Story Telling Circle
This former popular circle has started up again. We will meet once a month on a Wednesday afternoon at Carole’s place to tell stories about a chosen topic.
