A Poem About Traveling

Try to travel, otherwise you may become racist, and you may end up believing that your skin is the only one to be right, that your language is the most romantic and that you were the first to be the first.
Travel, because if you don’t travel then your thoughts won’t be strengthened, won’t get filled with ideas. Your dreams will be born with fragile legs and then you end up believing in tv-shows, and in those who invent enemies that fit perfectly with your nightmares to make you live in terror.
Travel, because travel teaches to say good morning to everyone regardless of which sun we come from.
Travel, because travel teaches to say goodnight to everyone regardless of the darkness that we carry inside.
Travel, because traveling teaches to resist, not to depend, to accept others, not just for who they are but also for what they can never be, to know what we are capable of, to feel part of a family beyond borders, beyond traditions and culture. Traveling teaches us to be beyond.
Travel, otherwise you end up believing that you are made only for a panorama and instead inside you there are wonderful landscapes still to visit.
Coffee Morning Presentation
Tuesday 11th June 2024
Ranches Ladies will be holding a special Coffee Morning Health & Wellbeing Presentation with Muriël from Balanced Space, on Tuesday, 11th June at Studio One Hotel, 2nd floor meeting room.
Craniosacral therapy is an alternative, noninvasive treatment that may help you relieve symptoms, especially pain. A trained healthcare provider will gently place their hands on your head, neck and back to alleviate tension.

Summer Health Tips
Important reminders as the temperature is increasing: Don’t forget to drink plenty of water. Stay inside as far as possible during the heat of the day. Wear a hat and use sunscreen when needed.
Introduction to Calligraphy Workshop
Introduction to Calligraphy workshop will be on Tuesday, 28th May 2024, in the Meeting room on the 2nd floor of Studio One Hotel. Arrive by 9.30am to enjoy self service tea or coffee before the workshop starting at 10am.
This Workshop is now fully booked. If you would like to join the waiting list in case spaces open up, please contact Josephine McBurney, or respond to the Poll on the RL members WhatsApp group.

Mosaics Circle
The Mosaic Circle have been working hard on a variety of projects. Mosaic is extremely versatile and everyone brings their own vision to their work. Ayesha is getting close to finishing her amazing “Tree of Cats” table top. Sarah made this beautiful “Lily n Ella” plaque for her friend, which is a copy of her new business logo.
The Mosaics Circle, led by Ayesha, meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.30am in Green Community East, DIP.

Literary Lunch Circle
Last Monday, the Literary Lunch Circle met at Sansation in Arabian Ranches 2 to discuss ‘Verity’ by Colleen Hoover. Although the book was not reviewed favourably, they had an interesting discussion while enjoying the great food and company.
Their book for June will be ‘Maybe in another life’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and they plan to meet on Monday 24th June. New members welcome.

Afternoon Tea Circle
The Afternoon Tea Circle had a great afternoon and enjoyed a delicious tea at the Lounge in Address Downtown on Wednesday 22nd May.

Art Circle
The Art Circle had a lovely class last week, with ladies making paintings on different themes. The highlight was Carole’s Klimt, Lady with a fan, which she finished after months of hard work. They had a small party during the class where everyone relished some Indian street food.
The Art Circle, led by Rajul, usually meet on Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon in Arabian Ranches 1. New members are welcome.
