Schools in Dubai have already started the winter break. We hope that you are enjoying this beautiful time of the year, with the great weather and festive activities.
A Season of Giving
In this season of giving, let us remember those in need. As a non-political friendship community, Ranches Ladies supports the provision of donations and support to alleviate the many challenges and adverse conditions across the world today.
In line with UAE government guidelines, for offers to volunteer and support through a U.A.E. charity organisation, please contact Emirates Red Crescent which has a number of centres across the U.A.E.
Tuesday Mornings
Ranches Ladies usually meet on Tuesday mornings at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City from 10.30am – 12pm.
Please note:
There is no coffee morning on Tuesday 12th December due to the Festive Centre Tablepiece Workshop at Larte (this is now fully booked).
There is no meeting at Larte on Tuesday 19th December due to Carole’s Christmas Coffee Morning in Savannah. Ranches 1 (this is also now fully booked).

Some Circles may be taking a break over the holidays, so please check with Circle leaders.

Lunch Circle
Thai – Japanese cuisine was on the menu, at the Mayabay restaurant in Jumeriah Al Naseem, for the Ranches Ladies Lunch Circle this month.
Even though it was a public holiday for UAE National Day last Monday, the lunch was fully booked. Ladies enjoyed meeting up at the beautiful location exploring their taste buds the many beautifully presented variety of dishes.
The ladies enjoyed the calm and relaxed atmosphere, with turtles swimming in the nearby waters. The festive decorations are gorgeous this time of year in the hotel.
The next Lunch Circle outing will be planned in January.

Line Dancing Circle
The Line Dancing Circle meet at Melodica Dance Studio, near Waitrose in Motor City.
Wednesdays 10-11am for Intermediates and Fridays 10-11am for Beginners.

Art Circle
The Art Circle, led by Rajul, have been working on some great paintings. They meet on Thursdays 10am to 12 noon. New members are welcome.

Jewellery Clinic Circle
The next Jewellery Clinic and Open House is planned for Thursday 14th December from 10am to 5pm.
Come along for a free jewellery up-cycling consultation, and browse a range of hand-made items from different vendors. Buy something for Christmas gifts, or treat yourself.

Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle is on Thursdays at 10.30am in Larte, Studio One Hotel, Studio City. Maria will be teaching for beginners or those who already know a little Spanish.

Aquafit Circle
Dayle is teaching Aquafit on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8.30am in Savannah, Arabian Ranches 1.

Canasta Circle
Last week, the Canasta Circle made the most of the weather by playing outside.
The new Canasta Circle meet to play from 11am on Thursdays. They will not be meeting on the 21st or 28th December.

Walking Fitness Circle
The Walking Circle are enjoying early morning walks on Mondays.
Meet on Monday mornings at 7am outside the main entrance of Arabian Ranches 1 community shopping centre.
We will walk for approximately 1 hour 20 mins depending on route and distance. Stay for tea/coffee afterwards back at the community centre if you have time. New ladies are welcome to join.

Yoga Circle
The Yoga circle are now meeting on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8.15am for outdoor yoga in Alvorada 2.
The Yoga circle members are going to receive a complimentary face yoga and face lifting massage technique training every Friday after the regular Hatha yoga session.

Story Telling Circle
The Storytelling Circle meet once a month at Carole’s place in Savannah, Arabian Ranches 1, to share stories on a theme. The theme for the next meeting on Wednesday 13th December is the Festive Season.

Book Circle
The Book Circle are currently reading ‘We All Want Impossible Things’ by Catherine Newman. They will meet on 15th December from 9.30am to discuss this book.

The Literary Lunch Circle are reading ‘Love and Saffron’ by Kim Fay.
