Ranches Ladies Brunch at Bab Al Shams Zala Restaurant

On Saturday 4th November, six Ranches Ladies were invited to a delicious weekend brunch at the newly opened Zala restaurant at Bab al Shams Desert Resort by Camelia Binbrek, the Director of Sales and Marketing. After undergoing complete refurbishment, Bab al Shams Hotel has recently reopened under the Curzon brand. Bab al Shams has always been famous for the quality of its buffets and this was no exception. The ladies chose an indoor table overlooking the lawns where the newly offered picnic lunch was being held. They enjoyed beverages of their choice then chose their first course from the extensive buffet. Some chose seafoods, others tried the new ‘green bar’’ where Lebanese green salads were offered and others tried the salad bar.
For the main course there was a delicious salmon en croute, it alternates each week with beef Wellington, as well as other roasts. Others went for the barbecue, thick juicy lamb chops seemed to be the favourite and others sampled the various quiche and egg dishes. We just about managed to find space to try some of the many mouth watering desserts on offer, their Um Ali was pronounced absolutely heavenly.
We met Jerome the newly appointed Food and Beverage manager who made sure we were looked after by the friendly and attentive staff. Jerome informed us that the upper area above the restaurant is now open and offering sushi and beverage combination from 5-7 pm, and also from 7-9pm at weekends. All agreed that we must try out this new experience soon and take any visiting guests to Dubai’s paradise in the desert only 40 minutes pleasant drive from the Ranches.

Real Estate Talk – Tuesday 7th November
Last Tuesday morning, Ranches Ladies members enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Larte, Studio One Hotel along with a presentation from Engel & Völkers Real Estate Agents.
Engel & Völkers are a leading global Real Estate services network with expertise in the local market here in Dubai. The team gave an interesting presentation about the Dubai property market and answered questions about buying, selling, renting, contracts and more. As well as a complimentary breakfast, all ladies attending received a gift box from Engel & Völkers.

Tuesday Mornings
Ranches Ladies are meeting every Tuesday morning at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City from 10.30am – 12pm.
If you have not yet renewed your membership for the year 2023-24 you can do this on Tuesday morning at Larte Cafe, Studio One Hotel. Membership is required for RL activities and WhatsApp group. New members are also welcome to join on Tuesday mornings.

Lunch Circle
Last Monday, the Lunching Out Circle, enjoyed at the amazing lunch set menu at Aamara Indian and Arabic Fusion Restaurant in VOCO Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Both vegetarian and non vegetarians, as well as any additional dietary requirements, were well catered for. There was a great variety of food and beverages, along with excellent service and atmosphere. The staff also surprised Maggie on her birthday, with a special desert and singing Happy Birthday to her.

Hiking Circle
On Wednesday 8th November, the Hiking circle did their first hike of the new season in Mushrif Park. They enjoyed beautiful weather for hiking and it was great to get back outdoors after the summer.

Now that the weather has improved, the Walking Fitness Circle have moved back outside. New ladies are always welcome to join.
Meet outside main entrance of community shopping centre in Arabian Ranches 1 on Mondays at 7.15am sharp. We walk for around an hour and stay for tea/coffee afterwards back at the community centre.
