Farewell to Alex
Ranches Ladies are sad to say goodbye to Alex Meyer, who is leaving Dubai. Alex has been a committed member of Ranches Ladies and involved in many of the Circles.
We wish you all the best for your move and future Alex. Keep in touch and come back and visit us when you can.
Art meets Hearts

Our Art Circle Leader, Rajul, wrote this poem for the last Poetry Circle which was on the theme of art and creativity:
The Art Circle is a bunch of ladies brimming with joy
They meet each week and with creative ideas they toy
Their imagination runs from the stars, to the moon and the sun
They paint, they chat and they have so much fun
They come with zest and paint with zeal
For them to paint together is a big deal
Art is something close to their heart
Their palette of colours they never part
Each one of them has a creative side
To express it in art is a matter of pride
They pursue their passion in a stride
And gift paintings to loved ones far and wide
I feel art liberates my soul
I look beyond mundane and see a goal
Nothing in life feels stagnant anymore
As the creativity in me touches my core
I could say things through colours and forms
And I could sail through life’s biggest storms
When I paint a flower, a tree or a farm
My mind is rested and I feel calm
Create, and you will definitely see
A happier you, a happier me

Tuesday Mornings
Ranches Ladies are meeting every Tuesday morning at Larte Restaurant in Studio One Hotel, Studio City from 10.30am – 12pm. Join us this Tuesday.
Membership Renewals
If you have not yet renewed your membership for the year 2023-24 , please do this soon. Membership is required for RL activities and WhatsApp group. New members also welcome to join.
Come along to Larte Cafe, Studio One Hotel in Studio City, on any Tuesday morning from 10.30am to renew your membership.

Please bring completed membership form, your Emirates ID (or passport if non-resident) and fee of 120 AED (please try to bring exact change).
If you are unable to get to Larte on Tuesday morning to do your renewal, you can ask a friend to bring your form, copy of your ID and membership fee.

RL Circles News
Here are some of the current Circles activities.
This is not a full list. See the Circles Calendar on the website for more activities. The October calendar will be available soon.
The following Circles plan to restart in October: Mosaics, Italian, Mahjongg, Hiking, Canasta, Literary Lunch, Uni Mums and Yoga
Quilters Circle
The Quilters Circle had our first meeting for the 2023-24 season. We are very excited as this is the 25th anniversary of our guild. Bibiana gave us a lovely virtual tour of the Festival of Quilts held in Birmingham.
The Quilters Circle have a separate membership under the umbrella of Ranches ladies. New members are welcome.

Italian Circle
The Italian Circle is restarting from 4th October.
Learn how to speak in Italian while having fun!

Jewellery Clinic Circle
The next Jewellery Clinic Open House is scheduled for Wednesday 27th September 10am to 2pm. Bring along any old jewellery that has sentimental value or some that you don’t wear anymore. Hayet can help you redesign it or fix it and enjoy wearing it again.
Line Dancing Circle
The Line Dancing Circle, led by Carole, meet on Wednesday mornings from 10am, starting 20th September, at Melodica Dance Studio, near Waitrose in Motor City.
