Survey on returning to employment after a break
One of our member’s, Rajul from the Art Circle, has forwarded a survey. Her son is a member of Global Shapers Community by the World Economic Forum who are working on a project to support women in Dubai to return to work after a break.
Are you a woman in Dubai who took time away from work and would now be interested in working again? If yes, we would love to know more about you!

Tuesday Mornings
We are waiting for official approval to restart our regular Tuesday social mornings, we hope this will be possible after the summer break.
In the meantime, please pop along to LARTE restaurant in Studio One Hotel on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 – 11.30am to meet Julia or Jeanette and find out about membership and activities.

RL Circles News
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, some circle groups are meeting online or in socially distanced ways.
Most groups will take a break during July and August.
A quick update from some of the circles:
The Art Circle is on this month and may take a break in July and August.
The Literary Lunch Circle is meeting this month but will take a break in July and August.
The Book Circle is meeting this month and may continue in the summer if there are enough people.
The Walking Fitness Circle are taking a break due to the extreme weather and hope to restart around mid-September.
The online Yoga classes are not currently going on and may restart in person after the summer, if possible.
The Quilters Circle finished the year with an online retreat and plan to start again after the summer break.
The Uni Mums Circle and Cinema Circle are taking a break until October.
The Poetry and Scottish Dancing Circles have not been meeting this year due to COVID restrictions – they plan to restart in September if restrictions allow.

The Mahjongg Circle are meeting on Mondays from 10am during the month of June, after which they will take a break for the summer.

Book Circle
The Book Club meets on the third Sunday of each month at 10am.
They are currently reading ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig, which will be discussed today.
The book for July will be ‘Fall of Marigolds’ by Susan Meissner.

Literary Lunch Circle
The Literary Lunch Circle continue to meet on the third Monday each month.
The June book choice is ‘The Art Forger’ by Barbara Shapiro, which will be discussed on 21st June.
This will be the last meeting until September.

Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle, led by Manoly, is meeting remotely this month, then taking a break for July and August.
The times of the classes are Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners

The French Circle are meeting this month, before taking a break until September.
