Election of Ranches Ladies Committee Members
There will be a Zoom meeting for the election of committee members on Tuesday 20th April.
Members are requested to join the meeting for a few minutes each between 1pm and 1.40pm to vote.
The proposed new committee members are:
Monali Abhijit Navalekar – Treasurer
Michelle Coulter Robertson – Director for Media activities
Shahnaz Qassim Fikree – Director for circles activities
Details for the Zoom meeting will be sent closer to the date.
ARTE, The Makers’ Market will be at Times Square on 9th April.
ARTE’s artisans will, as always, be offering a bit of everything. Be prepared for the cutest, inspiring, re-imagined, traditional and modern designs. The collections hold more than gorgeous macrame, fabulous Middle Eastern wood craft, beautiful jewelry, there will be other fun and colourful designs in wall signs, organic skincare made by the best. These handcrafted never-seen-before pieces will have a wide price range.
Tuesday Morning Coffee Meet Ups
We are waiting for approval to restart our regular Tuesday social mornings and hope this will become possible as COVID cases drop and more people are vaccinated.
In the meantime, please pop along to LARTE restaurant in Studio One Hotel on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 – 11.30am to meet Julia or Jeanette and find out about membership and activities.

RL Circles News
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, circle groups are meeting online or in socially distanced ways, where possible.

Here are some of the activities the group are getting up to:
Gardening Circle
Although RL gardening circle is not currently meeting in person, they are sharing tips online and learning together how to make the most of our gardens.
Several of the Gardening Circle ladies have tried their hand at growing vegetables over the winter and have had great results with a wide variety of plants including tomato, cucumber, aubergine, courgette, gourd, kale and various herbs. Some have grown their plants in the ground and others have had success with plants in pots. Here are a few photos to inspire you!

Walking Fitness Circle
As the weather is getting hotter, the Walking Fitness Circle are now meeting at 7 am (instead of the usual 7.30am) outside Arabian Ranches 1 Community Centre on Mondays. We are walking in socially distanced pairs for around an hour, and enjoy a well-earned cuppa at Costa afterwards.

Book Circle
The Book Club meets on the third Sunday of each month at 10am.
The April book choice is Becoming by Michelle Obama, which will be discussed on 18th April.

Literary Lunch Circle
The April book choice for the Literary Lunch Circle is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It will be discussed on Monday 19th April.

The Art Circle meet on Thursday mornings and have been creating beautiful paintings with acrylic.

French Circle
The French Circle is up and running virtually so if you would be interested in improving your language skills get in touch with Dominique on ranches.ladies@gmail.com. Classes are held every Sunday at 10am
Spanish Circle
The Spanish Circle has also restarted remotely this month led by Manoly. The times of the classes are:
Mondays 5.30pm for intermediates and Wednesdays 11.30am for beginners

Pilates Circle
On Wednesday at 2pm Philippa at Optimal Fitness is holding Pilates classes and offers RL members a discount on Zumba classes on Tuesday mornings. Email her on philippa@optimalfitness.ae
